Ambition, talent and determination are pre-requisites for any competitor in the L'Oréal Colour Trophy and the team from Craig Chapman Hair Design proved they possess all three and more. By tapping into a hot high fashion trend that has popular appeal, they have bagged themselves a spot on the Grand Final catwalk, representing the Western Region.
Lisa and Hannah explain the thinking behind their striking image: "This is a very fresh, young look with a hint of geek chic about it, inspired by Ugly Betty. It's great for tomboy's who have an air of youthful femininity about them, reflected by the glossy long hair and a quirky flash of lightness around the front.
With a switched-on boss behind them, the girls have got all the encouragement they need from fellow staff and clients alike. But even with inner confidence, the nerve-wracking wait to hear if your team has got through can seem like an age, as salon owner Craig explains; "We were absolutely gob smacked as there was so much amazing work on the competition floor. I felt that we were in the running but we were the last salon to be called out and our nerves were off the scale! It's such a wonderful feeling to be one of the teams who are cheering and celebrating success.
