At the tender age of 19 Jade Hazell's talent in the field of colour has won her the approval of an exceptional panel of industry-leading judges and a shot at the 2008 L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy - Young Colourist Award. Representing Creation in Chichester, Jade's technical excellence and eye for high-street trends gave her the edge over her competitors and a place at the Live Final in May.
Jade explains the inspiration behind their striking image: "I took a lot of inspiration from Vogue magazine, and studied London Fashion Week catwalk shows and magazines. I wanted to create a look that would appeal to clients and compliment my models skin tone and natural colouring.
The final round will see Jade compete against eight other finalists from across the UK at the L'Oréal International Academy in London - a challenge she is already looking forward to.
"It was an amazing moment! I didn't believe it at first and my team had to push me up on stage! said a shocked Jade. "I entered this category last year but didn't make it through so this is a complete shock! I'm really looking forward to the Live Final.
