Chris Appleton from George's in Leicester has staked his claim on a coveted place in the L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy - Young Colourist Live Final. The talented young hairdresser created a multi-tonal colour that stood out for judges at the Midland's Regional Final.

Here Chris explains the inspiration behind his striking image: "There has been a big shift towards organic, and environmental awareness and I wanted to reflect this in my look. I kept the soft, natural femininity in this strong modern style and the use of creamy blondes enabled me to do so successfully.”

The opportunity to compete at such a high level in this category is not lost on Chris, who can't wait to show the judges his skills.

"I'm really excited, quite overwhelmed in fact,” exclaimed Chris. "I can't wait to get my work out there and show the judges at the live final what I'm capable of.”
