Georges

George's, Oadby will be representing the Midlands at the 2007 L'Oréal Colour Trophy Award Grand Final, due to take place in May at London's Earls Court 2. Christopher Appleton and Anna Storer produced a highly individual look on the catwalk at their Regional Final, opting for short curls in a competition that has largely been dominated by poker straight entries. Their heavy copper-gold tones looked radiant and autumnal under the stage lights and were cleverly coupled with a glamorous, shimmering gown, winning George's the admiration of the judges and a place at the Grand Final.

"Our look was designed to make maximum impact on the catwalk," explained Christopher of the thinking behind his team's entry. "Inspired by Christian Dior's A/W 07 collection and the glamour of forties starlets we created a modern finger wave effect on an up-to-date shape with a high shine copper colour, making for a look that's full of drama and sophistication."

Christopher and Anna's hard work and research clearly paid off, as their entry was received with huge enthusiasm by the audience and judging panel alike. With the Regional's well behind them, the team will now begin preparations for their participation at the Grand Final.

"It was really nerve wracking as we waited for the winning salons to be announced - ours was the last team to be named as a Grand Finalist!" said Christopher of the team's recent win "As an artistic team, we are working very hard to get recognition for our creative work, so to make it this far in the L'Oréal Colour Trophy is a dream come true."
