We're in for a double-helping of Indigo Rye style at the Grand Final as the team from their Caversham salon go through to represent the Southern region. Sarah Munnings and Judith Hancock produced an exquisite entry that seamlessly combined elements of the Autumn/Winter 08/09 catwalk collections.
Sarah and Judith explain the inspiration behind their striking image: "The hair is a delicate red with copper undertones and reflects our ethos of creating beautiful, wearable styles. With our clothes styling we've followed the emerging trend for feminine, flouncy ruffles, as seen on the catwalks of Giambattista Valli and Moschino. It's a combination of baby-doll meets vampish showgirl.
With two teams in the Grand Final, anticipation as to who will triumph is at a fever pitch. For the supporters, it's always a tense time as they wait to hear who has made it through as salon owner Karen Kennedy explains;
"Ours was the last team to be announced and we'd reached the moment where our mouths were dry and the nerves were unbearable, explains Karen. "The girls have worked so hard to get to this stage and it's a testament to the passion of the whole team that both salons have reached the Grand Final, representing the Midlands and the Southern region.
