A stunning entry from Kennady's, Ingatestone has taken the salon one step closer to winning this year's illustrious L'Oréal Men's Image Award. Noel Gibbins and Hannah Jarvis creatively collaborated to produce a distinctive and technically excellent entry that impressed the judges and won the salon a chance to represent the East at the Grand Final in May.
"The haircut was inspired by both the 80's pop scene and The Beatles 'Rubber Soul' era" explained Noel of Kennady's winning look. "We wanted to smarten up the casual-but-trendy male style and turn it into something unique with strong catwalk presence. Our look represents the evolution of the ubersexual city worker - understated, yet undeniably cool."
The attention to detail, hard work and careful thought that went into Kennady's entry certainly paid off. With the regional's well and truly behind them, the team are looking forward to rising to their last remaining challenge - the L'Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final 2007.
"It truly was a group effort" says Noel of the salon's recent win. "We share a strong team ethic that pushes us towards a larger goal and the L'Oréal Colour Trophy is very high on our agenda. The Men's Image is an increasingly challenging category, and we collectively fought hard for our place at the Grand Final. For me personally, this award is the Holy Grail - to get this far means everything to me."
