Catherine Seeman and Lisa Redman are one of the teams from the East going forward to compete at the L'Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final in May. Representing Mack in Chelmsford, the girls delivered a gorgeous entry that has rocketed them into the final stage of the 2007 competition. Inspiration came from "boy meets girl" androgyny, which surfaced on the Spring/Summer 2007 catwalks before emerging as a key trend for designers such as Burberry and Prorsum in their Autumn/Winter 2007/8 collections. The team interpreted the ever-growing look with a short, asymmetric crop coupled with vibrant colour.
"We went for a strong, copper colour on our model's hair, integrating the autumnal look and colour," explained Catherine and Lisa about the inspiration behind their look. "The outfit was chosen to compliment the hair's rich, warm tones, whilst the satin neck tie continued the nod towards the tom boy look, finished with feminine touches of satin."
Mack will now have a chance to acquire the 2007 title as their team prepare for the final stage of the L'Oréal Colour Trophy. For both Lisa and Catherine, the opportunity to compete at the Grand Final in London is a well-earned dream come true.
"All our hard work and research paid off," beamed the girls. "We were absolutely delighted with how stunning our model looked when she stepped onto the catwalk and words can't express how ecstatic we felt when our number was called. It's a great feeling to be going to compete at Earl's Court knowing that all of the team here are behind us."
