John Goddard and Jenny Kay are the brains behind an exceptional L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy entry that has wowed the judges and won them a place at the Grand Final in June. The duo from Saks in Skipton faced tough competition at the North Eastern Regionals but their attention to detail, beautifully executed colour and catwalk-savvy styling pushed them well ahead of the pack and into the final stage of the competition.

John and Jenny explain the inspiration behind their striking image: "We researched the catwalk collections for Autumn/Winter 08 and were drawn to the feminine, chic looks that were presented by Marc Jacobs. His collection really influenced the colour and style of our model's hair and we created a look that is set to prove popular with clients in the coming months.”

Having won at the Regional Stage, the team will now begin preparations to compete against twenty-six other finalists - a challenge that the team are more than ready to accept.

"We were the last team to be called and my heart was beating furiously,” exclaimed an excitable John as he came off stage. "We are over the moon to have put Skipton on the map as a style force to be reckoned with!”
