Biography
As the daughter of founder Toni Mascolo, Sacha was literally born into hairdressing and her experience in the hair industry spans over 17 years. By an early age she had already proved to have the creative vision and talent to surpass her piers the direction needed to make a superbrand.
The youngest-ever winner (aged just 19) of Newcomer of the Year at the British Hairdressing Awards, Sacha went on to win the title of London Hairdresser of the Year in 1999. She has been nominated for Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year three times and British Hairdresser of the Year twice. With her International Artistic team, she has won Art Team of the Year eleven
times. Recently Sacha added the highly coveted Creative Head 'Most Wanted
Look of the Year' for an image she produced in a collaboration with Vogue and also Hair Magazine's 'Nationwide Salon Group of the Year' to add to the
company's many awards and accolades.
Editorial Profile
Sacha has worked closely with photographic guru David Bailey as a session
stylist on a number of high profile magazines and her celebrity client list has
included Erin O'Connor, Helena Christensen, Jamelia, Jerry Hall, Liz Jagger,
Sadie Frost and Cat Deeley.
Recent editorial credits include British Vogue (with the brand completing a second summer beauty supplement this year), Italian Vogue, L'Uomo, Harpers Bazaar, tattler, Wig, Elle, The Sunday Telegraph - plus shows for Calvin Klein, Prada, Versace, and Helmut Lang. In addition her ad campaigns feature in all of the most high profile fashion and style titles seasonally.
Other press coverage includes regular columns in the hair consumer press, trade coverage weekly/monthly and quotes in all the beauty magazines. She also has a high media profile in most of the 34 countries TONI&GUY operates in.
Image Creation
Sacha's creative projects include her recent collaboration with esteemed
Australian fashion photographer Troyt Coburn, to create the company's 07/08
Education collection. Through Sacha's work with numerous fashion
photographers, she interprets current catwalk trends to create strong and
commercially aware images that have global appeal. Her ability to know
instinctively what looks great and guard the image of everything and anything
TONI&GUY has even seen her take on the role as Editor-in Chief of the
company's award-winning consumer magazine.
