Cameron Byrne from Spargo in Brentwood became the first Young Colourist to secure a place in the Live Final of the L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy 2008. His chic bob caught the judge's eye, here Cameron explains the inspiration behind his striking image:
"We get many requests for bobs in the salon. I wanted to give this popular style a twist using a bold panel of blonde at the front of the hair.
Before he arrived at the Eastern Regional Final, Cameron was feeling quietly confident about his chances of winning. But upon seeing the standard of this year's entries he soon realised that there was tough competition in between him and the Live Final.
"When I saw pictures of the other finalists in my category I started to get really nervous. It was impossible to predict which one of us would make it through so I was over the moon when I heard my name called out.
