The Hair Advice Centre, Englefield Green

Luke Reed from The Hair Advice Centre in Englefield Green has claimed the last place in the L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy - Young Colourist Live Final. He makes up the nine-strong list of contenders for what is arguably the most coveted award title for emerging talent within the industry.

Here Luke explains the inspiration behind his striking image: "Model of the moment Agyness Deyn was the starting point for my inspiration. I wanted to create an androgynous look with a crisp, blonde colour and soft femininity. ”

It is testament to the support and mentoring by salon owner Louise Wood that Luke's talent was given the opportunity to flourish.

"Luke started his career in hairdressing at just 14 working half-days on a Saturday. His passion and determination were evident at a very early age,” explains salon owner Louise Wood. "He is always at the forefront of creative activity within the salon and I'm delighted that his hard work is starting to pay off.”
