The catwalks at the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy 2009 were gleaming with lust-have looks inspired by the Autumn - Winter 09 catwalks. With inspiration coming from a whole host of prolific designers, the catwalk was reminiscent of the 80s with dramatic fringes galore. The bright bold look full of attitude prominent in this season’s biggest shows was most evident in the North Eastern region where Ramsay & Johnson rocked a tempting take on the look. Wilson’s Hairdressing and Joanne O’Neil Hair Design in the North West Final and Northern Irish Final respectively made the stage their own, flaunting the new wave hair statement of the rebellious era with finesse.

The 80s inspired look was even more evident with Saks Hair and Beauty’s winning look that blew away the panel of judges. The Great Yarmouth salon was awarded the Eastern Regional title at the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy 2009. “Saks Hair and Beauty showed that they possess true hairdressing vision and creative talent,” Charles Worthington MBE explained. “Their look was original, beautifully executed and worked in perfect harmony with the clothes styling. It met the brief with razor-sharp precision.”
The winning look at the glamorous London Final by Clipso stood out with the return of big, daring shoulders, as the 80s power-dressing phenomenon was resurrected by the talented team from Watford. Taking inspiration from some of the biggest names from London to Paris, West Row Hairdressing’s chic 2009 winning look from Harrogate was immaculate with sharp tailoring.
Rogue Hair from Belfast went all the way winning the Northern Irish Regional Finals and the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy Grand Finals 2009 after bringing an interpretation inspired by some of the best looks from the fashion world to their catwalk. “This vibrant copper gold colour with fine segments of mild mustard and tangerine around the front and sides of the hairline is the look for Autumn - Winter 09,” says Karen Devlin, the colourist behind the award-winning look.

All the winning looks showcased the best of the Autumn – Winter 09/10 trends in style, meeting the brief and exceeding expectations for another year!
