Synonymous with cutting edge style and award winning brilliance, Darren Fowler is part of a new breed of hairdressing talent to emerge on the British hairdressing circuit. As international Artistic Director for prolific salon group, Clipso, Darren has been nominated for a host of awards from creative to business.
In 2009, Darren and his team won Franchise Salon of the Year at the launch award ceremony and Darren’s own assistant Freya Haines swooped the coveted Junior of the Year alongside numerous nominations in the HAIR Magazine Awards, British Hairdressing Business Awards and Most Wanted Awards. 2008 saw Darren and his team win the highly regarded Salon Team of the Year at the British Hairdressing Business Awards. He has also won the prestigious title of Eastern Hairdresser of the Year at The British Hairdressing Awards and the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy in the Men’s Image category, testament to his skill and success in both the men’s and women’s hairdressing arena.
On the catwalk and the celebrity circuit, Darren has worked for cutting edge fashion shows such as Tristan Webber and Alice Temperley at London Fashion Week, trunk shows for Yves Saint Laurent and On/Off Fashion Week for Kaviar Gauche, Bernard Chandran and Richard Sorger, Graduate Fashion Week and the Student Fashion Awards with Central St Martins. Darren has also styled celebrities including Juliette Binoche and Sophie Anderton, as well as a host of fashionistas at the British Style Awards. Darren’s ability to translate catwalk looks to suit the everyday person, make him a firm favourite with clients and press alike, hence his regular appearances as a hair expert for top editorial worldwide.
